Race Gurram Movie Review

Firstshowz is back this Friday with Race Gurram Movie Review. Checkout Allu Arjun, Surender Reddy combo Race Gurram review.

Story

Ram (Shyam) is a strict police officer who follows rules and regulations. His brother Lakshman aka Lucky (Allu Arjun) is a happy-go-lucky guy who is quite opposite to Ram. Siva Reddy (Ravi Kishan), an evil politician plans to kill Ram who has evidences against him. Lucky comes across Siva Reddy’s plan and bashes him up. Siva Reddy now comes up with a revenge sketch and what does Ram and Lakshman do forms the rest. In parallel, there is a love story between Lakshman and Spandana (Shruti Haasan).

Performances

Allu Arjun rocked the role as Lakshman. He outshined in every frame with his dialogues, comedy timing, dances and what not. His pronunciation as ‘Devuda’ is hilarious and stays with his fans for long time.

Shruti Haasan looked beautiful and she has supported Allu Arjun. Her dance moves in Cinema Chupista are a feast to watch.

Ravi Kishan tends to go overboard and he does a poor job. Prakash Raj is impressive, Brahmanandam as ‘Kill Bill Pandey’ is another asset for the movie. Shyaam is good in his neat roles. Others did their job well.

Analysis

Race Gurram is Allu Arjun’s movie all the way. Surender Reddy who failed to deliver hit with Oosaravelli followed his Kick formula and made the movie a safe bet. Race Gurram guarantees enough entertainment with Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, Ali, Posani Krishnamurali besides Bunny on board.

However, Race Gurram has its own flaws like the illogical scenes, misplaced songs and the pace at times. Surender Reddy made the film with the right mix of action, comedy, family sentiment and entertainment. Though the pace drops during second half, Brahmanandam’s entry followed by his scenes offers you plenty of laughs which ends Race Gurram as Paisa Vasool Entertainer.

Race Gurram production values are rich with first rate cinematography by Manoj Pramhamsa, chartbusters by Thaman and striking background score. Dialogues are crisp and neat, screenplay is good. However, editing is bad with dragged scenes. Had the film been crisp with good pace and right songs placement, Race Gurram would have done wonders. Nevertheless, the film has all the potential to end up as a hit at the box-office.
