Storyline

Akash Narayan (Ravi Teja) is a happy-go-carefree guy who lives in a remote village. His family fixes a match with Aksha, but the latter refuses him reasoning she would only wish to wed a renowned person. Hurt by it, Akash gets determined to become a celebrity and impresses Home Minister (Shayaji Shinde) and his daughter Shraddha (Rashi Khanna) falls for him and the former is ready to their wedding. But Akash rejects the wedding. What is his intention? Where does Boman Irani and Tamanna fit in the story is the rest.

Artists Performances

Ravi Teja delivers an energetic performance with terrific screen presence that will sure please masses and his fans. He pulls off the role, and it is tailor-made for him.

Tamanna as Meera is gorgeous, and she looked stunning in the songs, but she hasn’t had much of meaty role.

Raashi Khanna is glamorous and surprises with her Bikini avatar. She is perfect for her role, and shows her acting prowess.

Boman Irani is an excellent actor and proves his mettle once again while Prudhvi steals the show. Posani is another asset for the film while Rao Ramesh, Shayaji Shinde, Shankar were apt for the roles. Brahmanandam fails to impress as Amala Paul. Others were standard.

Technicians Role

Cinematography by Soundararajan is grand with colorful visuals, and all the songs are shot excellently.

A couple of Bheems musical scores are impressive and Chinna’s Background score is elevating. Sampath Nandi has a good command over mass movies, and he does show them in elevation and fight sequences composed by Ram-Lakshman.

However, Screenplay falters and the pace of the film drops often. Art direction is impressive; editing is okay. Production values by Sri Sathya Movies are grand.

Analysis

Ravi Teja is known for mass entertainers, and with Bengal Tiger, he once again excels in the show and delivers an all round performance. All credits for Sampath Nandi for elevating his role in right way, that strikes chords with audiences.

The first half of the film is laced with comedy and other commercial elements, and it’s only in the interval block the actual story begins unravelling. Ravi Teja’s characterization and Prudhvi, Posani’s comedy scenes are the major highlights of first half. The second hour however is low on entertainment. Both Tamanna and Raashi Khanna looked gorgeous in the film. Slow-paced second and routine scenes are the negative aspects of Bengal Tiger.

All in all, Bengal Tiger is a formulaic commercial entertainer with the right mix of commercial elements that will please all the masses and Ravi Teja’s fans.
