Artists Performances

Raj Tharun delivers his style of performance. He is improving with every movie and he has a good screen presence. The role and the nativity suited him, but he needs to choose the scripts aptly as they may become routine.

Aarthana looked okay as a traditional girl, and she is good in the emotional scenes while delivered within her character's limitations.

Shakalaka Shankar impressed with his comedy scenes, Adarsh played significant role, Randhir and others were okay in their respective roles. Surekha Vani, SriLakshmi, Jogi Nayudu et al filled the screens.

Technicians Role

Cinematography passes the muster and musical scores are alright. The songs are all shot well in the rural backdrop making them visually pleasing. The story of Seetamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu is age-old and the screenplay is disappointing, while the direction is weak. Editing is okay and dialogues are crisp and neat. Production values are standard.

Analysis

Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu is an age-old love story set in a rural-backdrop, narrated in a simple and predictable way including the commercial ingredients. The plot is weak, narration is outdated and screenplay is neither engaging nor entertaining.

Right from the word go, the scenes lacked exciting elements and the second half dragged on and on testing the patience. The director has thrown in few twists in the last minute, which looked out of place and illogical. Had he added such elements in the earlier stages, it would have made sense and engaged the audiences for a while. Things went out of place and the director has totally wrapped up the pace.

Neither the love story between the lead pair, nor the conflict between lead character and girl’s parents were established well. All in all, Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu is an outdated concept narrated in an old-fashioned way.

Finally

Seetamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu- Nothing that you haven’t seen before!

RATING: 2.5/5
