Cubes Entertainments's KATTALAN Teaser Launch turns into a grand celebration; fans erupt with excitement

The first teaser of Kattalan, a grand-scale Malayalam action thriller produced by Shereef Muhammed under the banner of Cubes Entertainments, has been released. The teaser was launched at a lavish event held at Vanitha-Vinitha Theatre, Kochi ,Kerala, attended by fans, media, and invited guests. The first screening received an overwhelming response from fans. Packed with adrenaline-pumping action sequences, the teaser promises edge-of-the-seat thrills. It hints that the film’s standout feature will be astonishing combat scenes never before seen in Malayalam cinema.
The teaser showcases lead actor Antony Varghese in intense face-offs with an elephant in the forest, executed with unbelievable realism. The disclaimer clarifies that these scenes were shot using a real elephant, without VFX. The role is expected to be one of the most powerful mass characters of Antony Varghese’s career. Kattalan is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on May 14, positioned as one of the biggest releases in Malayalam cinema history. The film is directed by newcomer Paul George
The action sequences were choreographed in Thailand under the leadership of internationally acclaimed stunt coordinator Kecha Khamphakdee and his team, known for their work on the Ong-Bak series. The elephant ‘’Pong,” made famous through the Ong-Bak films, is also part of Kattalan. The elephant fight sequences seen in the teaser are truly breathtaking. Music composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, who rose to prominence with blockbuster South Indian films like Kantara and Maharaja, is another major highlight. With visuals, action, and music on par with international cinema, the film promises to be a full-fledged mass action thriller.
The film has already secured one of the biggest overseas deals in Malayalam cinema history and is reported to have broken several pre-release records even before completing shooting. In association with Phars Films, Kattalan is gearing up for what is touted as the largest overseas release ever for a Malayalam film. This is another production by Cubes Entertainments following the pan-Indian blockbuster Marco. Earlier, the film’s first-look poster featuring Antony Varghese’s stylish mass avatar went viral on social media.
Designed as a pan-Indian project, the film is mounted on a mega canvas. Dushara Vijayan plays the female lead. The cast includes Telugu star Sunil (Pushpa, Jailer), Kabir Duhan Singh (Marco), Pushpa-fame Telugu actor Raj Tirandasu, Bollywood actor Parth Tiwari (Kill), and from Malayalam cinema Jagadish, Siddique, vlogger-singer Hanansha, rapper Baby Jean, and Hipster, among others, in key roles.
