National Award-winning filmmaker Anupam Patnaik’s Mantra Muughda releases in theatres

The much-anticipated Odia film Mantra Muughda has finally arrived in theatres. It is helmed by National Award-winning filmmaker Anupam Patnaik and backed by Amiya Patnaik Productions, a banner with over 42 years of legacy in Odia cinema.

The film has released over 29 cities across Odisha including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack & Rourkela, considered to be the biggest one so far. The film also witnessed the limited released in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune.

This supernatural-horror comedy is shot extensively at the 600-year-old Dharakote Palace over a 45-day schedule. The blends horror, comedy, mystery, and fantasy genres in a single narrative.

Mantra Muugdha narrates the story of three friends who accidentally awaken something evil at an abandoned palace leading them into a wild ride of horror, comedy and fantasy.

The film has an ensemble cast that features Sanoj Kumar, Manmay Dey, Sarthak Bharadwaj, Dipanwit Dasmohapatra, Suryamayee Mohapatra, Bhoomika Dash, Hara Rath, Umakanta Sahoo, Soma Hota, Nishant Majithia, Barsha Patnaik, Choudhury Jayprakash Das, Akash Rout, Pihu Mohapatra, Ankita Mishra, Jagannath Jagan, Ishani Panda, Sujit Baral, Riten Patnaik and Ashis Rout in pivotal roles.

The story is conceived by Anupam Patnaik and Roshan Bisoi. The screenplay of the film is written by Rohit Gehlot and Anupam Patnaik while dialogues are penned by Pranab Rath. The Additional Screenplay & dialogues are contributed by Nishant Majithia.
