Jaya Kishori’s First-Ever ‘Divine Concert’ Brings a New Live Experience to Devotional Music

There was a time when bhajans were experienced almost exclusively in temples, community gatherings and spiritual congregations. On Sunday evening in Mumbai, they found a new stage.

At the Dome, NSCI, Jaya Kishori presented her first-ever Divine Concert, produced by Saregama Live and Epitome Live, bringing together the soul of devotional music with the scale and energy of a live concert. Featuring live musicians, immersive visuals and thoughtfully curated production, the evening translated Jaya Kishori’s vision of creating a shared spiritual experience into an immersive live format while staying deeply rooted in devotion and tradition.
Conceived by Jaya Kishori as a space where families could come together, pause from the pace of everyday life and reconnect through music, Divine Concert sought to present bhajans in a way that would resonate across generations while preserving their spiritual essence. The concert blended devotional music with world-class live production, creating an experience that felt both contemporary and authentic.

What stood out just as much as the performance was the audience itself. Families attended together, children sang along with their parents, young professionals arrived after their weekend plans, while senior citizens immersed themselves in the music with equal enthusiasm. The evening also welcomed elderly residents from Khushiyan Foundation, many of whom experienced a live devotional concert for the very first time.
The event was attended by several well-known personalities, including Meet Bros, Salim Merchant , Manoj Muntashir, Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja, Sachet-Parampara and others, who joined the audience for an evening centred around music, devotion and togetherness.

*Speaking about the idea behind Divine Concert, Jaya Kishori said* , _”I wanted to create a space where families could come together, leave behind the stress of everyday life and connect through music. One of my biggest hopes was to encourage younger audiences to experience spirituality in a way they could relate to. By presenting bhajans with the scale and energy of a live concert, I wanted to show that our traditions, music and roots can be just as uplifting, joyful and inspiring in a modern setting.”_

Speaking about the initiative, Siddharth Anand Kumar, Executive Vice President – Films, Series & Events, Saregama, said: ”Live entertainment is constantly evolving, but at its heart it has always been about bringing people together. We believe experiences rooted in our culture can be presented in ways that feel contemporary without losing their authenticity. Divine Concert is an extension of that belief, a format that celebrates devotional music while creating a shared live experience that resonates across generations.”

As the final bhajans echoed through the venue, many in the audience chose to stay back, soaking in the atmosphere and reflecting on the evening they had experienced.

More than just a concert, Divine Concert marked the beginning of a format that brings together faith, music and live entertainment, an experience envisioned by Jaya Kishori and brought to audiences through the production expertise of Saregama Live and Epitome Live.
