Manmadhudu 2 Movie Review

Nagarjuna's most awaited film Manmadhudu 2 has released today and begins with decent buzz till the
first show in the day. Rahul Ravindran has directed this rom-com film and produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni under Manam enterprises in association with Anandi Art Creations and Viacom 18 Studios. Chaitan Bharadwaj is the music composer.

The film has Rakul Preet Singh, Vennela Kishore, Rao Ramesh, Lakshmi and Jhansi in key roles. Samantha and Keerthy Suresh are seen in cameos.

Story:

Sam (Nagarjuna) who doesnt believe in relationships will be forced by his family to marry someone of his choice. Leaving of no choice Sam decides to break all his comfort to prove that relationships do not exist.

Sam meets Avantika (Rakul Preet) and asks her to act as his girlfriend. Twist in turn, Sam plans will go in opposite to him. Will Sam realizes his mistake? What went wrong between Sam and Avantika is rest of the story.

Performances

Nagarjuna is best in his role with his charming look throughout the film. His screen presence will have all the things to showcase.

Rakul Preet looks meaty in her role and done fabulous job.

Samantha and Keethy Suresh cameos will come and go with no special twists

Vennela Kishore is heart of the film. The scenes between Nag and Vennela Kishore has all the fun to do

Jhansi, Lakshmi and Rao Ramesh justified their roles

Technically

Cinematographer M. Sukumar has done his fabulous job in showing the beautiful visuals throughout the film.

Music by Chaitan Bhardwaj is decent.

Chota K. Prasad's editing could have been much better as few cuts has been left with no choice

Production Values by Manam Enterprises is rich

Director Rahul Ravindran has come with old aged romantic touch by enhancing few changes in the script and so is the final output which has nothing special in most of the film.

Analysis

Manmadhudu 2 has no connection with yesteryear’s Manmadhudu movie. This film has nothing to do with what audience expect in the film. However, Rahul managed the film with Nag's beautiful screen presence.

The scenes in the first half are breezy with racy narration. Vennela Kishore makes all the fun and carries the film alone on his shoulder. The onscreen chemistry between lead pair is so-so while some scenes have come out really well.

Second Half has all the lag and unnecessary scenes. The director could have trimmed few scenes out of the film. Overall, Manmadhudu 2 is a film of routine story and we can clearly have a note about all the scenes will be under our prediction.
