“From YouTube to No.1 On ZEE5 India!” – Actor Anil Geela Celebrates The Massive Success of ZEE5's "Mothevari Love Story"

Riding high on back-to-back hits, premier OTT platform, ZEE5 Telugu, has struck gold again with its latest series, "Mothevari Love Story". Premiered on August 8, this seven-episode web series has received an overwhelming response from the audience, attracting over 2 lakh viewers in just three days and clinching the No.1 spot on ZEE5’s trending charts.

To celebrate the resounding success, the team held a Sensational Blockbuster Press Meet in Karimnagar. The event was attended by lead actor Anil Geela, lead actress Varshini, director Shiva Krishna, producer Sriram Srikanth, ZEE5 Telugu Vice President Deshraj Sai Teja, DOP Sreekanth Arupula, choreographer Prashant, lyricist Ganga Prasad, and cast members, including RS Nanda (Sadanna), Malla Reddy, Myra Puli, Balagam Sujatha, Balaraj, Praveen, Thota Anjali, Mahesh, Ramu Mogili, Rajitha, Anji Mama, and others.

Speaking at the event, Lead actor Anil Geela said, “There’s a misconception that Telangana people don’t support their own when they aim big. You proved it wrong. Without any promotions, we had a full house for the screening, and some couldn’t even get seats. This series is made purely by Telangana people, and we thank ZEE5 for backing our rooted stories. People doubted us because we came from YouTube, but this series proved we can do big things. We’re proud that it’s trending at the No.1 spot on ZEE5 India, beating all languages. Please spread the word that this is a Karimnagar-made series. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us over the last six months. I already miss our daily work and hope to reunite soon with a new project.”

Lead actress Varshini stated, “I did my schooling in Karimnagar and watched many films in this same Mamatha theatre. Seeing my own series here is truly special. I thank director Shiva and Anil for trusting me with this role.”

Director Shiva Krishna Burra said, “This series was inspired by real incidents from my father’s life in the Gulf. I dedicate it to him. My entire direction team worked tirelessly, and I thank each cast and crew member for their hard work.”

Producer Sriram Srikanth added, “We used to joke about film events being self-praise shows, but today we are here ourselves. This is a universal story told in a Telangana accent. From now on, every My Village Show project will cater to a wider audience beyond Telugu.”
