Anja Meyer honored with Style Icon Award

She won the accolade at the 7th annual Bigo Awards 2026, but couldn't travel to South Korea, due to an ACL sports injury and was invited to the next locally held red carpet event on April 8, 2026. Anja accepted the accolade as the "Top 3 Style Icon of the Year in the Americas" (North and South America region) and as the "Top 5 Style Icon of the Year globally" last Wednesday, attending the high-style affair held at Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles. The event emphasized a decade in the streaming industry, celebrating 10 years of Bigo since it was founded in March 2016, while also hosting the semi-finals of the Bigo Miss America 2026 pageant with a variety of stage performances, runway shows and celebrity judging by Valentina Xunaxi and Titi.
Anja, a veteran of the industry, broadcasting since March 2019, for over 7 years on the platform, won ‘Top 4 Broadcaster of North America’ at the annual Bigo Awards Gala 2025 at Marina Bay Sands, Sands Theatre in Singapore; was named one of the top 10 Bigo Icons of 2025; and represented North America as the ‘MISS BIGO North America 2025’ at the international pageant in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, topping the rankings with the amount of accolades in the year of 2025. She was also invited to a variety more red carpet appearances, including the annual Awards Gala 2024 in Las Vegas at the Theatre des Arts at Paris Hotel and as the ‘Top 1 Broadcaster of North America’ at the MidYear Gala 2022 at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood. Her individual charm sparked inspiration over the years, and also her fashion styles caught the eye in her broadcasts.
Anja was celebrated for her ability to mix and match styles effortlessly. She was emphasizing dressing to match your body type, investing in long-term pieces, and having a classic look that was immune to trends. Anja’s personal aesthetic often prioritizes function. The “STYLE ICON OF THE YEAR Contest” was held from November 25, 2025, till November 28, 2025, and there were separate contests in 4 different geographic regions: the Americas, Europe, Central Asia and Asia Pacific. Only the top 3 in each region were awarded award trophies. Additionally, the top 10 scorers from all 4 regions were awarded medals as the top 10 style icons globally. The top 3 style icons in the Americas: the top 1 was Be Biu, the top 2 was Chelly Chel, and the top 3 was Anja. The top 1 style icon award globally won Jimmy from Central Asia. Anja also won a medal of honor for ranking as the top 5 style icon globally.
While specific "Style Icon of the Year", the 2026 gala heavily featured winners celebrated for their excellence and influence in fashion and their red-carpet presence and recognized broadcasters for their distinctive personal style, all while inspiring the global Bigo Live community, reaching millions. Broadcasters with chic wardrobe and elegant demeanor got pre-selected, and winners were honored for their contribution to the platform's creativity and growth.
