Mega Power Star Ram Charan revisits his conversation with Honorable Prime Minister Modi ji about how Peddi is rooted in empowering rural India

Mega Power Star Ram Charan has left fans excited for his upcoming sports drama Peddi. Ever since the trailer dropped, audiences have been praising the hard work and transformation he has brought to the role. While Peddi showcases Ram Charan as a sportsman involved in multiple sports, the film also highlights the spirit and strength of rural India.

Speaking at a recent event about how South films are becoming more rooted and culture-driven, Ram Charan shared, “The films we are making in the South today are deeply rooted to our culture and soil. They are not city-based, but set in villages and towns. Our archery team in India has many tribal players because they naturally possess that talent. It’s beautiful when such talent from villages gets recognised.”

Ram Charan also recalled his conversation with Modi ji about Peddi. “The last time I met our Honorable Prime Minister Modi ji in Delhi, he asked me what Peddi was about. I told him it’s about an evolved India and empowering our villages. Modi ji then shared a story from West Bengal, where decades ago a footballer from a small village represented India, and today over 85 people from that same village play football,” he said.

Peddi stars Janhvi Kapoor, Divyenndu and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film releases on 4th June.
