Indian cinema entered a new era today with the unveiling of MAGNOVA — India’s first 14-metre Acoustic-Transparent Direct View 4K HDR LED cinema screen by UFO Cinema Solutions — at Magic Frames, Kakkanad, Kochi.

The landmark installation was inaugurated by Shri V. D. Satheesan, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, on the occasion of Chingam 1. The event was attended by ministers, dignitaries, and leading names from Malayalam cinema including Dileep, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kunchacko Boban, Tovino Thomas, Shane Nigam, Basil Joseph, Jayasurya and Manju Warrier, along with leaders from business, entertainment and technology.

At the heart of the new auditorium is MAGNOVA, UFO Cinema Solutions’ premium large-format offering. The Kochi screen features a 14m x 6m, DCI-compliant Direct View 4K HDR LED display with a 3.91mm pixel pitch, powered by HEYLED technology and calibrated for theatrical presentation.

Its breakthrough is the acoustic-transparent architecture. By allowing speakers to be placed directly behind the 14-metre LED screen, sound now originates from the image itself — preserving the fundamental link between picture and sound and delivering a more natural, immersive theatrical experience.

The experience is further elevated with Dolby Atmos®️ immersive audio and Pulz Cinema Speakers, creating a truly integrated premium environment.

A new benchmark for audiences and exhibitors

For audiences: Bigger, brighter visuals with true 4K HDR, perfect contrast, zero light spill, and sound that comes directly from a 14-metre wide canvas — an experience designed to go beyond home viewing.
